About HV Mental Health & Wellness Center
At HV Mental Health & Wellness Center, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling, balanced, and meaningful life. For us, that mission is not just a statement. It is something we have been actively living out for decades. Since 2003, we have helped hundreds of individuals across all stages of life navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward a healthier future. From toddlers just beginning their developmental journey to older adults seeking clarity and support, our work is rooted in understanding the full spectrum of human experience.
Located near Lewisville, TX, and deeply connected to the surrounding communities like Highland Village and Flower Mound, we understand the pace and pressures of life in North Texas. Whether it is the fast-growing neighborhoods, busy family schedules, or the stress that can come with balancing work and home life in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, we are here to provide grounded, compassionate care that meets you where you are.
A Local Practice with Deep Roots in the Community
We are proud to be an independent, locally owned practice that has been serving the Flower Mound area since 2017 under the leadership of Dr. Christina Della Nebbia. Being part of this community means everything to us. We are not a large, impersonal system. Instead, we are your neighbors, invested in the well-being of families and individuals throughout Lewisville, Highland Village, and beyond.
Life in this part of Texas offers a unique blend of opportunity and challenge. From the scenic beauty around Lewisville Lake to the rapid growth of nearby neighborhoods, families here are constantly adapting. We understand how those changes can affect mental health, relationships, and daily life. That is why we focus on providing care that feels personal, relevant, and truly supportive.
Supporting Individuals Across the Entire Lifespan
One of the things that sets us apart is the breadth of care we provide. With over 23 years of experience, we have worked with individuals ranging in age from 18 months to 90 years old. That wide range allows us to understand how mental health evolves over time and how to tailor care for each stage of life.
Our services include:
- Individual counseling
- Family counseling
- Group therapy
- Psychological testing
- Neuropsychological evaluations
We take the time to truly listen and understand each person’s story. Whether someone is dealing with anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, or life transitions, we approach care with empathy and evidence-based strategies designed to create lasting change.
Specialized Care for Children and Families
We have a strong passion for working with children and families, especially those navigating developmental or behavioral challenges. Our team specializes in supporting children on the autism spectrum, as well as those with learning disorders, developmental delays, and behavioral concerns.
Through our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and intervention programs, we focus on building meaningful skills while reducing behaviors that may interfere with daily life. We also offer educational support through tutoring and advocacy, helping families feel confident when navigating school systems in Lewisville ISD and surrounding districts.
We know how overwhelming it can feel when a child needs extra support. That is why we partner closely with parents, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical tools that make a real difference at home and in school.

A Team That Brings Experience and Heart
Our team is made up of dedicated professionals who bring both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to their work.
Larry Thompson, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, brings over 20 years of healthcare experience, including time in emergency medicine. His background gives him a unique perspective on the importance of accessible, high-quality mental health care. He works with patients across the lifespan and focuses on addressing the root causes of mental health concerns.
Rita Green, B.A., serves as our ABA Operations Coordinator and is a registered behavior technician with years of hands-on experience. She plays a key role in supporting both our staff and the families we serve, ensuring that every child receives consistent, thoughtful care.
Dr. Alexander Fowler, Psy.D., is a post-doctoral fellow specializing in clinical psychology. He provides both counseling and comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological testing for children, teens, and adults. His work helps individuals better understand their strengths and challenges so they can move forward with confidence.
April Lawson, Ed.S., LPA, LSP, brings more than 14 years of experience in assessment, counseling, and consultation. Her background in school psychology allows her to provide valuable insights for children and families navigating academic and behavioral concerns.
Insurance and Support for ABA Services
Navigating insurance coverage can be one of the most challenging parts of beginning therapy. Our team works closely with families to help explain insurance for ABA services and assist with the documentation required for coverage.
Because applied behavior analysis is widely recognized as an effective therapy for autism and developmental challenges, many insurance plans provide some level of coverage for ABA therapy. Our staff helps families understand their options and move forward with confidence.
We believe access to care should be as straightforward as possible, which is why we guide families through each step of the process.

Care That Reflects the Way You Live
Living in Lewisville and the surrounding North Texas communities often means juggling busy schedules, long commutes, and the demands of modern life. We recognize that mental health care needs to fit into your world, not disrupt it.
That is why we strive to create an environment that feels welcoming, flexible, and supportive. Whether you are coming in after a long workday, bringing your child in after school, or seeking clarity during a major life transition, we are here to make the process as smooth and comfortable as possible.
Our goal is simple. We want to help you reach your full potential and live a happy, healthy, and productive life.
